Kargil, DD, Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, today conducted a detailed visit to District Hospital Kargil to assess healthcare services and infrastructure, and to address immediate concerns of patients and staff.
Accompanied by the Medical Superintendent, Resident Medical Officer (RMO), and the attending medical team, Dr. Akhoon thoroughly inspected all wards, interacting with patients to understand their health conditions and the quality of care being provided.
Particular attention was paid to a patient admitted on the night of Ashura Muharram, with the CEC personally inquiring about their treatment and ensuring proper medical attention was being administered.
During the visit, Dr. Akhoon addressed several concerns on the spot, demonstrating his commitment to responsive governance. He also inspected the under-construction additional hospital block adjacent to the main facility and directed the concerned departments to expedite its completion to enhance service capacity.
Emphasizing punctuality and dedication among medical professionals, Dr. Akhoon instructed the staff to uphold high standards of healthcare delivery.
He further called for immediate improvement in critical areas and issued directives to implement effective measures to control the rodent menace within the hospital premises.DD
