Buyer-Seller Meet Organized in Narwal jammu to Promote Local Products

Jammu, DD: A Buyer-Seller Meet was organized by the Indian Society of Agri-Business professionals and HDFC Bank in narwal jammu aiming to promote the “Vocal for Local” initiative and boost local trade.

The event was graced by the dupty direction Horticulture planning and marketing Jammu Aijaz ahmed natnoo as the Chief Guest, alongside with assistant director Horticulture Planning & Marketing, area marketing officer jammu. From organizers side Project Manager Manish Chauhan, Project Coordinator Jammu Dr. Rahat Ashraf Wani, and members of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs).

The meet showcased unique products from Jammu & Kashmir, including the world-renowned Kishtwari Saffron, Honey, Red Kidney Beans, Anardana, Bhaderwahi Rice, and more. Farmers and sellers from various districts across the region actively participated, presenting the rich diversity of the Jammu region agricultural produce.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest highlighted the exceptional quality of J&K’s agricultural products and emphasized their uniqueness. He assured the department will support for farmers in the Chenab Valley and across the Union Territory.

Manish Chauhan, Project Manager, underlined the importance of such initiatives in empowering farmers, sellers, and producers. He emphasized that the meet serves as a platform for networking, lead generation, and collaborations, which are critical for enhancing the region’s socioeconomic development.DD
