Rajouri: DD, Brig Poonam Raj assumed the prestigious appointment of Commandant, General Hospital at Rajouri, J&K.
She is the first lady officer in the rank of Brigadier to be entrusted with the command of a forward hospital in field area in CI/CT environment. An ENT surgeon of repute trained in Cochlear Implant and middle ear surgery, she has tenanted various administrative and clinical appointments in AFMS.
