Body of One Missing Soldier Recovered in Gadool, Kokernag; Hunt for Second Continues

Anantnag: DD, One missing soldiers body was recovered in the Gadool area of Kokernag in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, on Wednesday while searches for another were underway.

Official sources said that, body of one soldier has been retrived, with weapon and rucksack.

Massive searches for another missing soldier is underway, sources added.

The personnel reportedly lost contact while on duty, prompting immediate search and rescue operations in the area.

Earlier, official sources said that adverse weather and difficult terrain may have contributed to the soldiers going missing, and efforts are being intensified to locate the second missing soldier.

Teams from the Army and local authorities are coordinating to cover the area and ensure the recovery of the remaining personnel.

Authorities have urged locals to cooperate with the search operations and advised caution while moving in the area. (KNC)
