Patna,DD, The All India National Health Mission (NHM) Employees Federation, under the banner of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS), successfully concluded its second triennial conference, Dwitiya Traivarsik Adhiveshan, in Patna on February 15 and 16. The event, held at the India Medical Assocation (IMA) Hall opposite Gate No. 8 of Gandhi Maidan, saw participation from delegates representing 18 states across India, including Jammu and Kashmir (J&K).
The conference, organized by the Bihar Rajya Swasthya Samvida Karmi Sangh (Bihar State Health Contractual Employees Association), focused on critical issues faced by NHM employees, including timely salary disbursement, regularization of jobs, and improved working conditions.
Dr. Nazir Hussain, a Medical Officer and representative of the All J&K NHM Employees Association, played a prominent role in the conference. Representing the interests of NHM employees from Jammu and Kashmir, Dr. Hussain highlighted the persistent challenges faced by workers in the region, including delays in salary payments , transfer Policy and the lack of job security.
In his address, Dr. Hussain emphasized his unwavering commitment to the cause of NHM employees.“I have always worked for the welfare of NHM employees and will continue to do so,” he stated, receiving widespread support from delegates.
His speech underscored the need for immediate action to address these issues, which have long plagued NHM workers across the country.
The two-day conference served as a platform for NHM employees to voice their grievances and propose solutions. Delegates from various states shared their experiences and challenges, with a particular focus on the need for timely salaries and the regularization of contractual positions.
The event also aimed to strengthen the collective voice of NHM employees nationwide, advocating for better policies and improved working conditions.
The Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS), India’s largest trade union, extended its support to the NHM employees’ demands, pledging to amplify their concerns at the national level.
As the event concluded, participants expressed hope that their collective efforts would lead to tangible changes, ensuring a brighter future for NHM employees nationwide.DD
