Leh, Ladakh (India): The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh, proudly hosted the District-Level Winners’ Showcase under the 53rd Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani 2026. The exhibition brought together some of the brightest young scientific minds from across the district, who presented innovative STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) models reflecting the spirit of Viksit Bharat.
The showcase featured winning projects from various schools, ranging from renewable energy solutions to futuristic technological applications. Models showcasing wind turbines and sustainable cityscapes captured the imagination of visitors, symbolising Ladakh’s commitment to progress and innovation. Notably, the winning models were displayed at the Leh Main Market, enabling the wider community to witness and appreciate the creativity and scientific talent of local students.
On the occasion, the newly appointed Principal of DIET Leh, Sh. S.D. Namgyal, visited the exhibition stalls, interacted with participants, and commended the students for their innovative efforts. His encouraging words inspired the young innovators to continue pursuing scientific inquiry and creativity.
The staff of DIET Leh also extended a warm welcome to the new Principal, making the day a celebration of both innovation and institutional progress.
The programme reaffirmed the role of education in nurturing innovation and highlighted the importance of scientific inquiry in building a developed nation. By celebrating the achievements of young innovators, the exhibition strengthened Ladakh’s contribution to the vision of national development.
