Iran Detains Suspected Foreign Agents as Nationwide Protests Intensify

Tehran: – Iranian Security Agencies have apprehended a number of individuals claiming that they were disturbing peace in the country while working on directions of the enemy country’s intelligence agency.
Iran has witnessed spurt in protests against the government for price hike, and other essential commodities due to the fall in the currency value.
The young generation took to streets holding protests, while many confronted the Govt forces compelling them to baton charge, and restore to force.
In one of the protests, one of the protesters was injured when an explosive device exploded in his hand. The injured were taken into custody by the Iranian police for questioning.
Later, it was claimed to have arrested intelligence operatives of the enemy country who aimed to create troubles in Iran. (Agencies)
