CEC Kargil Inspects Old and New Blocks of Kargil House Srinagar

Kargil, DD, The Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, today visited both the old and new blocks of Kargil House Srinagar to assess the existing infrastructure and overall condition of the facilities.

During the inspection, Dr. Akhoon thoroughly reviewed the condition of the building, rooms, and amenities in both blocks. He expressed concern over the unsatisfactory state of maintenance and cleanliness of new block noting that the working staff performance was not up to the mark.

The CEC emphasized the urgent need for immediate repair and maintenance work to restore the functionality and improve the standard of the infrastructure. He directed the Executive Engineer, R&B Kargil, to look into the matter on priority and initiate necessary restoration and upkeep measures.

Dr. Akhoon also informed the Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, Shri Rakesh Kumar, about the prevailing condition of Kargil House Srinagar and sought his intervention for early action to ensure proper management of the facility.

Reaffirming the commitment of LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Akhoon stated that all public assets, including Kargil House Srinagar, will be maintained in good condition to provide better facilities and accommodation for residents, officials, and visitors from Kargil.DD
