Waheed Parra Slams Govt Decision on RBA Quota, Accuses CM Omar of Endorsing ‘Disempowerment Agenda’

Diplomat Correspondent

Srinagar: DD, Member of the Legislative Assembly and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra Friday criticised the Jammu and Kashmir Government’s cabinet sub-committee decision to reduce the Reservation for Backward Areas (RBA) quota, terming it an attempt to undermine Kashmiri representation.

In a post on X, Parra wrote, “The J&K Government’s cabinet sub-committee decision to slash the RBA quota under the guise of ‘rationalisation’ is a calculated attempt to disempower Kashmiris. The move strikes at a quota that primarily safeguards Kashmiri representation. By endorsing it, @OmarAbdullah isn’t defending equity — he’s advancing the disempowerment agenda.” (KNC)
