Anantnag:DD, In a joint action against unauthorised constructions, the Jammu and Kashmir Police along with Pahalgam Development Authority (PDA) carried out a demolition drive at Hukhar Batkote area of Pahalgam.
A statement said the operation, aimed at removing illegal structures raised in violation of building norms, was conducted by PDA officials with security support from the District Police Anantnag to ensure smooth proceedings and maintenance of law and order, it reads.
The drive was jointly supervised by senior police officers, including the ASP Headquarters Ashmuqam Rameez Raja, SDPO Pahalgam Farooq Ahmad, and SHO Pahalgam, it said.
The situation remained peaceful, and the operation concluded successfully, added the statement. (KNC)
