73 college students complete internship at JKEDI

JAMMU, DD A batch of 73 college students including 43 from Government SPMR College of Commerce Jammu and 30 from Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar successfully completed their summer internship at the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI).
The students underwent a 10-day (60-hour) internship, which commenced on June 2, 2025 at Bari Brahmana campus of the institute. As per National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 guidelines, the internship program was aimed at developing the entrepreneurial and research acumen among students.


The internship included hands-on activities and interactive sessions providing students a real-world experience of business and startups. Key highlights of the program included business simulation exercises, startup ecosystem orientation, business idea generation workshops, research assignments, SWOT analysis sessions and market surveys. These activities helped the students to develop critical thinking, problem-solving abilities and practical insights into how businesses are planned, launched and sustained.
The program aimed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application, fostering a spirit of innovation and self-reliance among the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.DD
