Srinagar Police Attaches Vehicle of Terrorist Associate Under UAPA

Srinagar, (DD):Continuing its crackdown on terror networks, Srinagar Police today attached a motorcycle belonging to a terrorist associate under the provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), 1967.

According to the police, a motorcycle bearing registration number PB17A-3362 (Chassis No. 379870, Model Year 2007), found in possession of Fahad Bashir Siddiqui, son of Bashir Ahmed Siddiqui, a resident of Akilmir Khanyar, has been formally attached.

The action was taken under Section 25 of the UAPA in connection with FIR No. 55/2021 registered at Police Station MR Gunj, officials said.

Notices have been served to prohibit the sale, transfer, or rental of the vehicle, as per legal procedures. Police confirmed that the attachment was carried out by a designated team in full compliance with the law.

Srinagar Police reaffirmed its commitment to dismantling the terror ecosystem and taking stringent action against individuals involved in or supporting unlawful and terror-related activities.(DD)
