Kargil pharmacists trained to strengthen mental health support

Kargil, DD, The District Health Society Kargil today successfully conducted a training program for pharmacists under the National Mental Health Programme (NMHP) at Syed Mehdi Memorial Auditorium Hall.

This initiative aimed to equip pharmacists with essential skills in mental health disorder identification, medication dispensing, and patient counseling.

The training session was led by Dr. Fatima Nisa, Nodal Officer, DMHP, Zakir Hussain (Psychologist, DH Kargil), Syed Hassan Shah (Psychologist, NMHP), and Ishrat Fatima (Case Manager, DMHP) contributed their expertise.

Pharmacists from across District Kargil participated in the program, reinforcing the District Health Society’s commitment to strengthening mental health services and promoting accessible care.DD
