PCCF, HoFF review progress of plantation programmes and creation of land banks

Jammu: DD, PCCF and HoFF, Suresh Kumar Gupta, IFS today chaired a meeting of all the head of the departments and other senior officers of various wings here at FRMC Building, Jammu.
The meeting was organised to conduct the review of all the plantation programmes, updation of information on Meri Life Portal and Creation of Land Banks in lieu of Forest land diverted under Van (Samakshan Evan Samvardhan) Adjhipivam 1980.
The PCCF and HoFF asked all the wings to expedite the progress of plantation works so as to achieve the targets well in time. They were also asked to update the information on the Meri Life Portal immediately so as to bridge the gap between actual figures and those on the portal.
All the CFs were asked to complete the exercise of consolidation of Land Banks by coordinating with the Revenue Authorities. It was decided that the progress of Land Banks shall continue to be reviewed on regular intervals. The Senior officers who participated in the meeting included Sh Sarvesh Raj, IFS, PCCF / Chief Wildlife Warden, J&K, Sh. J. Frankol, IFS, Director, JKFRJ, Sh. T. Rabi Kumar, IFS, CEO, J&K CAMPA, Sh. Suresh Buxy , IFS, Director, Social Forestry, Sh. S. Rakesh Kumar, IFS, Director, Environment & Remote Sensing, Sh. M K Kumar, IFS, CCF, Jammu, Sh. Irfan Rasool Wani, IFS, CCF, Kashmir and all the Conservators of Forests.DD
