Udhampur :TDD, In a significant crackdown on illegal sale of controlled substances, District Police Udhampur in presence of Drug Inspector Udhampur and Executive Magistrate Udhampur have seized two medical shops for violation of Drug Cosmetics Act due to non-maintenance of sale and purchase record of Scheduled H1 Drugs. (Schedule H1 drugs can only be sold by chemist with a valid prescription).The details of the seized medical stores are as Ms. SAI Medicos at New Hospital road Udhampur run by proprietor/chemist Harsh Mahajan S/O Late Rajinder Mahajan R/o Padha Gali Udhampur and SAI medicos Christian colony opp. Peer Baba near Forest Office Udhampur, run by proprietor/chemist Ruby Choudhary D/o Late Rattan Choudhary r/o Christian Colony Udhampur.
District Police Udhampur have also issued a stern warning to other medical establishments to adhere to strict guidelines regarding the sale of controlled substances and to ensure all transactions are in full compliance with the law.TDD
