JMC initiates development of Green Spaces under NCAP

Jammu, DD, In a major step towards enhancing urban greenery and improving air quality under the National Clean Air Program (NCAP), Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Dr. Devansh Yadav, today conducted an extensive tour to various areas under the jurisdiction of Jammu Municipal corporation.

During the tour, the Commissioner visited the various area which include Narwal, Bathindi, Sunjwan, Greater Kailash, Bakshi Nagar (near Pawan Ice Cream), near BSF Paloura, near Super Specialty Hospital, and BC Road. The objective of the tour was to assess and identify suitable spots for the development/creation of green spaces aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and public well-being.

The initiative is a significant step under NCAP to transform open spaces in urban areas into eco-friendly zones, thereby contributing to cleaner air and a healthier living environment for city residents.

Among others, Joint Commissioner, (H&S), Abdul Star, Joint Commissioner (Works) Firdous Ahmed Qazi, Executive Engineer, Project, Lokesh, Gupta, Chief Transport Officer Dharamveer Singh, and other senior officers accompanied the Commissioner during the tour.
