Jammu Police Conducts CASO Ahead of Independence Day


Jammu: As part of enhanced security measures ahead of the Independence Day celebrations, Jammu Police conducted a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) along with a Long Range Patrol (LRP) under the jurisdiction of Police Post Chowki Choura.

The operation was carried out from Gala to Thorni, covering the villages of Miyari, Juthal and Amb.

The operation involved active participation from Village Defence Guard (VDG) members, reflecting strong coordination between the police and the local community in maintaining peace and security.

During the operation, the area was thoroughly searched, and no suspicious persons or incriminating material were found. The operation was conducted peacefully and concluded successfully.

At Thorni village, the police team interacted with local residents and urged them to remain vigilant and promptly share any information regarding suspicious persons, activities or objects with the nearest police station or police authorities.

The police emphasized the importance of community participation in maintaining a safe and secure environment ahead of Independence Day.
