DD Correspondent

Jammu, The Economic Offences Wing of Crime Branch Jammu has filed a chargesheet before the Ld. Court of Special Municipal Mobile Magistrate Jammu in FIR No. 21/2025 U/S 420, 120-B IPC Police Station Crime Branch EOW Jammu against Rahul Dasgotra and Sneha Verma, for their alleged involvement in a fraudulent land transaction involving Rs. 16.50 lakh.

The case originated from a written complaint lodged by Dr. Anjan Bhola, who alleged that Rahul Dasgotra represented himself as the owner of land at Village Patyari (Bhatyari), Bishnah and induced him to enter into an agreement to purchase one kanal of land for Rs. 16.50 lakh.

During the course of investigation, the notarized Agreement to Sell dated 20.06.2023, relevant bank and revenue records were seized and examined. The investigation established that the complainant had transferred Rs. 10 lakh and Rs. 6.50 lakh in two installments into a Canara Bank account maintained in the name of Om Sai Construction, owned by Sneha Verma W/o Rahul Dasgotra. Verification of the revenue records obtained from the Tehsildar, Bishnah, revealed that Khasra No. 1152 min, on the basis of which the subject land transaction had been represented, did not exist in Village Patyari (Bhatyari), Bishnah.

The investigation, led by Dy. SP Goldy Sharma, found sufficient evidence against both accused. A chargesheet has accordingly been filed before the Ld. Court of Special Municipal Mobile Magistrate, Jammu for judicial determination.
