District Police Poonch Concludes Football Tournament Under Civic Action Programme.

Poonch, DD, As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen police-public relations, District Police Poonch successfully concluded a Football Tournament at Mendhar under the Civic Action Programme. The tournament, which commenced on February 23, 2025, saw enthusiastic participation from teams across District Poonch.

The final match, played on March 8, 2025, was a thrilling contest between Brother Club-A Mendhar and Brother Club-B Mendhar. In a closely fought battle, Brother Club-A Mendhar emerged victorious with a 2-1 win.

Following the match, Sh. Shafket Hussain, JKPS, SSP Poonch, along with Sh. Tussif Ahmed, JKPS, SDPO Mendhar, Inspr Aejaz Wani, SHO Mendhar, and PSI Arun Singh, ICPP Ari, felicitated the players for their dedication, skill, and sportsmanship.

Addressing the gathering, Sh. Shafket Hussain, JKPS, SSP Poonch, highlighted the vital role of sports in fostering discipline, teamwork, and a spirit of healthy competition. He appreciated the efforts of all participating teams, organizers, and officials in making the tournament a grand success.

The event concluded with the distribution of trophies, certificates, and cash prizes to both finalist teams. Words of appreciation were extended to all participants and organizers for their valuable contributions.
