Defence Secretary assesses military readiness and border infrastructure in Leh

LEH, Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh completed a comprehensive three-day review of the Leh Sector to evaluate operational readiness, logistical sustainability, and border infrastructure. The visit, which took place from June 5 to June 7, 2026, involved high-level briefings and strategic discussions with senior military commanders stationed at the Headquarters of the 14 Corps.


During his tour, the Defence Secretary advanced into the forward areas of Eastern Ladakh, making onsite visits to critical locations including the Base Camp and the Northern Glacier. While on the ground, he spent time interacting with the deployed personnel, expressing strong appreciation for their bravery, professional conduct, and steadfast commitment to protecting the borders of the country under extreme and hazardous terrain conditions.
