Udhampur:DD,As a part of its relentless effort against drug peddlers/smugglers, Udhampur Police has executed an attachment operation by PP Tikri resulting in the freezing/seizure of Creta Car bearing Regd. No. JK02DH-2486 worth rupees 20 lakhs approximately owned by drug Peddler namely Mohd Hafiz, son of Jhullas, Poonch.
The drug peddler Mohd Hafiz is presently in Judicial custody in case FIR No. 212/2024 under relevant sections of NDPS Act of Police Station Rehambal and is also involved in multiple cases registered under NDPS Act.
The movable property (Car) was identified as illegally acquired property during the course of investigation/inquiry conducted by Udhampur police.
The property was prima facie acquired from illicit trafficking in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances by the drug peddler.
This operation reaffirms the commitment of Udhampur Police to combat the drug menace.DD
