Udhampur :TDD, On 02.12.2024, at approximately 18:30 PM, reliable information was received at Police Station Latti regarding a dead body lying in forests near village Chapper Latti. The deceased was identified as Ashok Kumar , son of Romal Chand, resident of Chapper, Tehsil Latti-Marothi, District Udhampur, aged 46 years. Accordingly an inquest proceeding was initiated and police carried out preliminary investigation which suggested that the death was caused by a gunshot. The facts ascertained so far rule out any terror angle.
Based on the initial investigation, FSL examination and post mortem it appears to be a case of suicide. However, further investigations are ongoing.TDD
