Jammu, The Jammu Muslim Front (JMF) has strongly condemned the reported killing of innocent civilians in Pakistan-Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoJK), alleging that Pakistani security forces used excessive force against unarmed protesters.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Qazi Imran, President of JMF, described the incident as a serious violation of human rights and democratic principles. He stated that the continued use of force against peaceful demonstrators reflects the hardships and repression allegedly faced by the people of PoJK.
The organization expressed deep condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wished a speedy recovery to those injured during the reported incidents.
JMF alleged that instead of addressing public grievances, authorities had responded with force, leading to loss of civilian lives. The organization called upon the international community, democratic nations, and global human rights bodies to take notice of the situation and ensure accountability.
The Front also appealed to the Secretary-General of the United Nations to convene a special session to discuss the human rights situation in PoJK and the reported killings of civilians. It urged the UN and international organizations to examine the allegations and work toward protecting the rights and freedoms of the people in the region.
Reiterating its support for the people of PoJK, JMF demanded an independent international investigation into the reported killings and other alleged human rights violations. The organization emphasized that the people of the region deserve justice, freedom of expression, and protection from violence and intimidation.
