Three J&K Police Officers Promoted to Superintendent of Police Selection Grade (II)

Srinagar,DD, NoThe Jammu and Kashmir government has approved the promotion of three Jammu & Kashmir Police (JKPS) officers to the grade of Superintendent of Police Selection Grade (II) [Level 12 (₹78,800–2,09,200) of the Pay Matrix], as per Government Order No. 525-Home of 2025 dated November 1, 2025.

An order issued by Home Department stated that as per official references including the minutes of Selection Committee-I held on July 3, 2025, and subsequent communications from CID, J&K, the following officers have been promoted, Mohd Yousuf (JKPS: 2001) – Notionally w.e.f. December 24, 2024, and regularly with immediate effect. Pardeep Singh (JKPS: 2008) – With immediate effect and Brijesh Kumar Sharma (JKPS: 2008) – With immediate effect.

The promotions are granted under the J&K Police (Gazetted) Service Recruitment Rules, 2024 notified vide SO 500 of 2024 and are subject to the outcome of any writ petitions pending before competent courts. (KNC)
