PM-KISAN 21st Installment Credited to 8.55 Lakh Farmers in J&K

LG Sinha Expresses Gratitude to PM Modi, Union Minister Chouhan

Srinagar: DD, The 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme was released for farmers of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shivraj Chouhan, for the timely assistance.

In a Post on X, Office of J&K LG wrote, “Approx. Rs.171 crore will be directly transferred into the bank accounts of around 8.55 lakh eligible farmers of J&K today. This financial support will help farmers sustain livelihoods and resume agricultural activities.”

LG further said the Government of India remains committed to extending all possible help to the region following severe floods, ensuring stability in the lives of the affected population. (KNC)
