GOI Extends Tenure of CDS General Anil Chauhan

New Delhi:DD، The Government of India has approved the extension of service of General Anil Chauhan as Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) and Secretary, Department of Military Affairs, officials confirmed on Wednesday.

As per news agency the extension will remain in effect up to May 30, 2026, or until further orders, whichever comes first, sources said. General Chauhan continues to oversee the strategic, operational, and administrative functions of the armed forces in his dual role.

Commissioned in 1981, Gen Chauhan has had a distinguished career with key command & staff appointments. Decorated with PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM & VSM, he has been serving as CDS since 30th Sept 2022. (KNC)
