Railway Police Destroy Narcotics in Compliance with NDPS Court Orders

Anantnag,(DD) Authorities incinerated seized narcotic substances linked to two NDPS Act cases at SIDCO Lassipora, Pulwama, following directives from the NDPS Court, Anantnag. The destroyed contraband included 10.89 kg of poppy straw from FIR No. 03/2019 and 140 grams of cannabis concentrate from FIR No. 03/2023, both registered at the Railway Police Station, Anantnag.

The destruction process was supervised by a designated committee comprising SDPO Railways Anantnag Sartaj Ahmed, SHO GRPS Inspector Rahul Mahajan, and Naib Tehsildar Anantnag Mohd Furqan Mir.

Reaffirming their resolve to combat drug trafficking, Railway Police emphasized that such measures are essential for public safety and the enforcement of the rule of law.(DD)
