Leh, DD, As per initiative of the UT-Administration, LAHDC, Leh and District Administration, Leh respectively for ensuring availability of fresh vegetables and fruits during the holy month of Tangpo and Mahe-Ramazan, the Cooperative Department , Leh, airlifted about 12 MT of fresh vegetables and fruits in its first consignment on 22.03.2025 which was later distributed among the general public through cooperative retail-outlets in and around Leh city on 22.03.2025 and 23.03.2025 respectively . The Deputy Registrar Cooperative, Leh Dr Mohd Abass further informed that to ensure equitable distribution, a combo of 3kg pack consisting of the 3-4 varieties of vegetables and fruits was packed and distributed through the Cooperative outlets at a nominal price of RS 150 per 3kg Pack. He further said that the second consignment of 8MT was received on 24.03.2025 which was distributed through Cooperative Superbazar, Leh. He further said that the event was covered as part of celebration of ‘International year of Cooperatives,2025’.DD
