MoD Releases ‘Manual of Security Instructions 2026’


New Delhi: The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has released the Manual of Security Instructions 2026.
The Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh unveiled the document at a function held in South Block, New Delhi. The manual is a comprehensive document outlining security guidelines and will be updated periodically to address the evolving security scenario.

In his address, the Defence Secretary emphasised the need for strict adherence to security discipline amid emerging threats and evolving security challenges. He stressed that all officers and security personnel must rigorously follow the prescribed security procedures.

Rajesh Kumar Singh appreciated the efforts of the Ministry’s Security Office in preparing the detailed guidelines. He urged security personnel and officials to ensure the effective implementation, stating that the new manual would help maintain a secure environment within the Ministry.
