Lecture on Drug Abuse, Narco-Terrorism Organised at Lassana, Poonch

Poonch: DD, As part of its ongoing efforts to promote social responsibility and safeguard the youth from the menace of drug abuse, the Indian Army organized an Awareness Lecture on Drug Abuse and Narco-Terrorism at Al Awan Academy, Luthung.
The lecture was conducted under the theme “Islah-e-Mashra” an initiative aimed at spreading goodwill and educating the community about social evils that hinder societal progress. The event witnessed an encouraging turnout of over 500 civilians. An officer from the Indian Army addressed the gathering, highlighting the growing threat of narcotics and its nexus with terrorism.
The speaker emphasized the importance of vigilance, self-discipline and collective community action in resisting peer pressure and curbing the spread of drug abuse. An interactive session followed, allowing participants to share their views and suggest ways to create a drug-free environment.


The event concluded with students taking a pledge to stay away from drugs and contribute towards building a healthy and responsible society.
The Indian Army reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring not only the security of the region but also the moral and social well-being of its citizens through sustained awareness and outreach initiatives under Operation Sadbhavana.DD
