Farmers in Stok Village Trained on Nutri-Cereal Cultivation

Leh,DD: A training camp focusing on nutri-cereal cultivation was held today in Stok village, Leh.

The event, organized by the Agriculture Department under the National Food Security Mission (NFSM), aimed to educate farmers on the best practices for growing crops like buckwheat, millets, and barley.
The training was led by District Agriculture Officer Shakeel ur Rehman, with key resource persons including Sub Divisional Agriculture Officer Mohd Ramzan, Agriculture Extension Officers Kunzang Dolma and Tsering Dolkar, Jr. Agriculture Extension Officer Stanzin Idong, and Dr. Deachen Chuskit.
In addition to nutri-cereals, the program also covered various modern agricultural techniques.

Topics included the package of practices for the Ladakh Green House, preparation of vermicompost, mushroom production, and natural farming.

Farmers were also informed about different departmental schemes to support their agricultural efforts.DD
