CEO Conducts Quarterly Inspection of EVM/VVPAT Warehouse in Leh

Leh:The quarterly inspection of the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and VVPAT warehouse of Leh district was conducted today at the Sindhu Sanskriti Kendra.

The inspection was carried out under the supervision of the Chief Electoral Officer, Leh, Rahul Sharma, IAS, along with Nodal officer of EVM Leh , Sonam Chosjor (JKAS) and Deputy district election officers Padma Angmo (JKAS). Representatives of various political parties from BJP , Congress and AAP were also present, in accordance with established electoral protocols.

During the inspection, officials thoroughly reviewed the security arrangements, including verification of EVM/VVPAT boxes and sealing of the warehouse doors.

The quarterly inspection is a routine and mandatory exercise, conducted in the presence of political party representatives during the opening and closing of the warehouse, to ensure transparency and strict adherence to electoral norms.DD
