BURGLARY CASE SOLVED, 2 ACCUSED APPREHENDED

Jammu,DD: Police today claimed to have worked out a sensational theft case registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar, apprehended two accused and recovered stolen items worth rupees twenty-five lakhs approximately from their possession.
Police have recovered 28 tolas of gold jewellery items and two branded watches from the possession of the accused.
A written complaint was lodged at Police Station Gandhi Nagar by S. Manmeet Singh Rissam, son of Lt S. Ranjeet Singh Rissam, resident of Nanak Nagar, Jammu regarding the theft of golden ornaments and watches from their house.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR Number 41 of 2025 under section 331(3) of 305 BNS was registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and investigation was set into motion.
Sensing the gravity and magnitude of the burglary, special teams were formed at Police Station level.
Surrounding Police Stations and Police Posts were activated and the teams worked tirelessly in a dedicated and focused manner based on Human-Int, Tech-Int and CCTV camera footages.
Upon sustained questioning the accused have confessed their involvement in the instant case.
One of the apprehended accused turned out to be a child in conflict with the law (CCL) and details of other are Rajesh Raina, son of late Girdhari Lal, resident of House Number 3, Sector 6 Lane 14B, Nanak Nagar, Jammu.
On the disclosure of the accused, golden ornaments weighing around 28 tola and two explosive wrist watches amounting to approximately Rs 25 lakhs were recovered from their possession.
The recovery was made from the residence of CCL at Preet Nagar, Digiana Jammu. The questioning of CCL is going on and more recoveries at this stage can’t be ruled out.
The whole investigation and recovery is made by a police team headed by SHO PS Gandhinagar.
The success of South zone police in recovery of stolen property in the shortest span of time has been widely appreciated by the citizens of the area.
