The operation, codenamed “Re-CONNECT,” was launched by the Jammu Police to combat the rising tide of smartphone thefts in the region. Over the past two months, dedicated tech sleuths from the Jammu Police’s Headquarter Zone have been working tirelessly to trace these missing devices.

The recovered smartphones, valued at over 4 lakh rupees, were reported missing from various police stations and border police posts across the Headquarter Zone.
