Biting Cold Poses Challenge for Police and Security Forces in Kishtwar’s Warwan Region

Kishtwar: As heavy snowfall continues in the Marwah and Warwan areas of Kishtwar district, police and other security personnel have intensified security arrangements and patrolling in the hilly regions amid severe cold weather conditions.

Meanwhile, a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was carried out in several Warwan villages by a police team led by Station House Officer (SHO) Warwan, Inspector Zaheer Iqbal. Despite temperatures dropping to extreme levels, police teams conducted the CASO to ensure security in the area amid a growing threat of terrorism.

Warwan is considered one of the coldest places in India. Located in Kishtwar district, it shares borders with Ladakh and the Pahalgam region of Kashmir.
