Calicut: DD, Presenting the Holy Qur’an is, in essence, presenting the message of peace, and there is no place for terrorism in Islam, said the Grand Mufti of India, Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad. Those who create unrest are the ones who distort religion, he added. He was speaking while inaugurating the third edition of the Markaz Qur’an Festival (MQF 3.0), Kerala’s largest academic competition themed on the Qur’an. The event featured discussions and competitions reflecting the Qur’an’s humanistic message, its emphasis on pluralism, and its scientific outlook. Darul Musthafa Sector secured the first place with 273 points, followed by Khalfaan Sector and Madar Sector in second and third positions respectively.

In recognition of excellence in Qur’anic competitions, the MQF Platinum Award was presented to Muhammad Mavoor, while the Gold Award went to Muhammad Bishr Randathani.
