Imran shah

Doda, DD: Jammu & Kashmir, two habitual timber smugglers, Hashim Din Magray and Bilal Ahmed Wani, have been detained under the Public Safety Act (PSA) as part of an ongoing crackdown on illegal logging. However, Conservator of Forests, Chenab Circle, Sandeep Kumar, clarified that the transfer of the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) and Range Officer (RO) is unrelated to this case.

The officer emphasized that the removal of officials was an administrative decision and not linked to the PSA imposition. Investigations into illegal deforestation in Chirala range, Doda, continue, with authorities committed to strict action against offenders.DD
