White Knight Corps Organises Water Conservation Awareness Camp for Students

Jammu: In a proactive initiative aimed at fostering environmental awareness among young citizens, troops of the Indian Army under the aegis of the White Knight Corps recently conducted an interactive lecture at the Government Primary School, Bisali village.

The session focused on the critical importance of conserving water, one of the nation’s most vital resources. It highlighted practical steps that students can take in their daily lives to use water judiciously.

During the lecture, students were sensitised to simple yet effective water conservation practices, including careful use, rainwater harvesting, and minimising wastage in household and school activities.

The Indian Army personnel also shared insights on local remedies for water purification and maintaining personal hygiene, emphasising how these practices contribute not only to individual health but also to the well-being of the broader community.

The interactive session encouraged students to become responsible water stewards, reinforcing the message that saving water today ensures a sustainable and secure tomorrow.

The school staff and community members expressed appreciation for the Indian Army’s continued efforts in promoting environmental awareness and civic responsibility among the younger generation.
