Kozhikode: Tejashwi Yadav, National Working President of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, met Grand Mufti of India Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad during his visit to Kerala.
Tejashwi Yadav visited the Markaz in Kozhikode, where he held a cordial meeting with Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad. During the interaction, he praised the Grand Mufti’s remarkable contributions in the fields of education and humanitarian initiatives across India.
He also appreciated Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad’s significant intervention in the Nimisha Priya case in Yemen, describing his efforts as highly commendable. Tejashwi noted that the Grand Mufti has received both national and international recognition for his work in educational, cultural, and social empowerment.
Expressing happiness, he mentioned that students from Bihar are currently pursuing their studies at various campuses under Markaz.
Tejashwi Yadav also recalled that his father, former Bihar Chief Minister and Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, had visited the Markaz in Kozhikode in 2011 and met Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad. Sharing on social media, he added that Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad had maintained a close and friendly relationship with his father.
