Govt School Students Urged to Say No to Drugs, Lead Healthy and Purposeful Lives

KHALTSE, Leh (Ladakh): Government Model School Liker was honoured by the visit of His Eminence Skyabje Choskong Palga Rinpochey, who addressed students, staff and members of the local community on the growing concerns surrounding drug and alcohol abuse.

In his inspiring address, His Eminence emphasized that education and discipline should be the two primary aims in life. He encouraged students to pursue knowledge while developing good values, self-discipline, self-control and responsible behaviour.

Urging students and members of the community to firmly say “no” to drugs and harmful alcohol practices, he stressed the importance of making positive and responsible choices for a healthy, purposeful and meaningful life.
He said that young people have an important role to play in building a healthy and drug-free society.

His Eminence also highlighted the values of compassion, kindness, forgiveness and patience. He urged students to respect and care for their parents, teachers, elders and fellow beings, while advising them to control anger, cultivate patience and maintain inner peace.

He further encouraged the students to lead their lives with wisdom, humility and compassion.

The school authorities expressed their gratitude to His Eminence for visiting the institution and sharing his guidance, blessings and words of wisdom with the students and the community. His message is expected to inspire students to lead disciplined, responsible and meaningful lives.
