White Knight Corps Commander Reviews Readiness in Poonch Sector

Jammu, The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Indian Army’s White Knight Corps (16 Corps), accompanied by the GOC of the ‘Ace of Spades’ Division, visited forward areas in the Poonch sector to review operational preparedness and the evolving security situation in the region. In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, the White Knight Corps stated that interactions were held with various stakeholders during the visit, and their high morale, professional competence, and operational readiness were commended.


While interacting with the troops and concerned officers, the Corps Commander emphasized the need to maintain high standards of operational preparedness, continuously strengthen capabilities, and remain ever-ready to tackle emerging security challenges. According to the Army, the objective of regular reviews and preparedness checks in forward areas is to ensure a robust and effective response capability amidst the changing security landscape.

In its message, the White Knight Corps underscored that “preparedness is deterrence, and preparedness is the key to victory.” This visit to the Poonch sector highlights the importance of continuously monitoring the operational readiness and security posture of troops deployed in border areas.
