Jammu, The Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Crime Branch Jammu, has filed a chargesheet before the Hon’ble Court of JMIC Sunderbani against Yash Paul, son of Kundan Lal, resident of Village Bhajwal, Sunderbani, for allegedly encroaching upon 2 Kanal 11 Marla of State land falling under Khasra Nos. 3913/3914 at Village Bhajwal, Sunderbani.
The case, FIR No. 39/2022, was registered at Police Station Crime Branch (EOW) Jammu on the basis of a written complaint lodged by Acharya Rajesh Kumar Prashar. The complainant alleged that Yash Paul, in connivance with revenue and forest officials, had encroached upon State/Forest land.
During the investigation, Mutation No. 4193 dated 05.09.2018 was found to have been attested in violation of Government orders. Subsequently, the mutation was declared null and void ab initio by the ADC, Sunderbani, in December 2022, following quasi-judicial proceedings, and was cancelled from the revenue records.
As part of the investigation, demarcation of the land in question was conducted by a team of revenue officials in the presence of forest officials. The demarcation report submitted by the revenue authorities established that Yash Paul had encroached upon 2 Kanal 11 Marla of State land falling under Khasra Nos. 3913/3914 at Village Bhajwal, Sunderbani.
On the basis of the evidence collected during the investigation, the allegations were substantiated. Accordingly, the investigation was concluded with the filing of a chargesheet before the Hon’ble Court of JMIC Sunderbani against Yash Paul, along with the list of witnesses and seized documents, for judicial determination.
